Temperatures will feel like -5 to 5 degrees Friday morning, so be sure to limit your time outside.
Arctic air plunged in overnight and despite lots of sunshine, Friday will be brisk, breezy and bitterly cold. Highs will be in the upper 20s, but wind chills will make it feel like 10.
Temperatures slightly rebound for the start of the
holiday weekend before the next arctic front arrives on Valentine's Day evening. Once again some gusty winds will usher in some light snow that
could lead to a coasting in spots. If it lingers after dark, there could be some slick spots on roadways.
From Saturday evening through Sunday morning, a high wind watch will take effect for parts of the region.
