Police in Charlottesville have named a man as the person of interest in the case of missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham.

Police say the man, who lives in the Charlottesville-area apartment complex that was searched Friday and whose vehicle was seized, is the last person to see Graham before she disappeared early Sept. 13.

Police have not arrested the man, or officially declared him a suspect, saying they don't yet have evidence to charge him with a crime. They hope to question him formally as part of the investigation.

WTOP learned that the man works as a transporter at the University of Virginia health system. He also has worked as a cab driver for a couple of companies in Charlottesvillle in the past. Court records show public and traffic violations and an assault case in 2009. A profile matching the man's information shows he once played football for Liberty University.
