Matthew McConaughey defends the fanny pack
WASHINGTON -- Many Americans don't understand the fanny pack. It is considered the ultimate sign of a tourist or the telltale sign of a nerd. Either way, fanny packs are generally shunned. Matthew McConaughey, on the other hand, insists that he's "not afraid of the fanny pack."“You gotta kinda put it on the side to make it look a little not as nerdy, but still, practicality wins out. I got so much gear in here that I don’t want in my pockets," the "True Detective" star tells the New York Post. McConaughey was spotted rocking the questionable fashion statement Sunday at Boston's Fenway Park. The accessory was shocking enough that it inspired an entire interview with CSN Houston’s Julia Morales.
