D.C. region sees snowy conditions

People around the region woke up to some snow on the ground Wednesday, especially in Southern Maryland. The snow, although not more than a few inches around the region, caught many people off guard.

The snow has come to an end around the area, but the dusting of snow is causing school delays and closures and traffic issues as frigid temperatures persist.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny and breezy, but temperatures will once again be confined to the 20s.

Thursday will be sunny, less windy and not as cold with highs in the mid 30s.
