The Dish: D.C. Food News You Can Use

  • What makes a restaurant a neighborhood gem?

OpenTable diners submitted more than 5 million restaurant reviews, for more than 19,000 U.S. restaurants, to vote for the eateries that contribute to the character and charm of their neighborhoods.

This year, three D.C. restaurants made the list of OpenTable's Top 100 Neighborhood Restaurant Gems in America.

Tortino, near the Convention Center, Buck's Fishing and Camping, between Chevy Chase and Van Ness, and Thally, in Shaw, took the honors for the District's best neighborhood gems.

The Grilled Oyster Company in Potomac, Maryland, Glyndon Grill in Glyndon, Maryland, and Bottega in Baltimore also made the list.
