WASHINGTON - The Navy Yard will resume normal operations beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday.
However Isaac Hull Avenue, Building 197, and areas around the building where 12 people were gunned down earlier this week remain closed. The temporary fitness center in Building 73 remains closed while it serves as an operations center. The locker rooms are open in Building 22 but the rest of the facility is closed.
Employees who left their ID cards behind Monday will need to enter through the Visitor Control Center at the O Street and 11th Street gates between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Gate Hours:
All Washington Navy Yard food service operations, Navy Exchange, and Navy Federal Credit Union are authorized to reopen.

- 9th Street Gate will be open for 24 hours for inbound and outbound pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- O Street Gate will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m for inbound and outbound pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- 6th Street Gate remains closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- N Street Gate will be open from 5:30 to 9 a.m.
- All Riverwalk turnstiles remain closed.
- All other gates are secured for law enforcement operations.
