Navy Yard Shooting
At least one gunman launched an attack Monday inside the Washington Navy Yard, spraying office workers in the cafeteria and in the hallways with gunfire at the military installation in the heart of the nation's capital. • 59 year-old Michael Arnold of Lorton, Virginia
• 53 year-old Sylvia Frasier of Waldorf, Maryland
• 62 year-old Kathy Gaarde of Woodbridge, Virginia
• 73 year-old John Roger Johnson of Derwood, Maryland
• 50 year-old Frank Kohler of Tall Timbers, Maryland
• 46 year-old Kenneth Bernard Proctor of Waldorf, Maryland
• 61 year-old Vishnu Shalchendia Pandit of North Potomac, Maryland
Five additional decedents have been identified as:
• 51 year-old Arthur Daniels of Southeast, Washington, DC
• 51 year-old Mary Francis Knight of Reston, Virginia
• 58 year-old Gerald L. Read of Alexandria, Virginia
• 54 year-old Martin Bodrog of Annandale, Virginia
• 52 year old Richard Michael Ridgell of Westminster, Maryland

District to offer crisis counselors for Navy Yard witnesses
WASHINGTON - The District will provide crisis counselors and advocates during the next few days for Navy Yard workers who witnessed the shootings.
The Mayor's Assistance Center will operate at the King Greenleaf Recreation Center, 201 N Street SW for anyone affected by the shootings including neighbors, workers, and witnesses. The center will be open until 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Crisis counselors and other staff will be able to help with mental health assistance, compensation assistance or help returning property left in the Navy Yard buildings. Crime Victim Compensation staff will also be available.
Those seeking emergency mental health treatment can call the District's Access HelpLine at 1-888-7WE-HELP or 1-888-793-4357.
Friends, family and survivors who need follow-up or longer-term care should contact the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing at 202-624-0010 or the Network for Victim Recovery of DC at 202-727-1727.
The Warfighter & Family Support Center at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling is also available for the victims, workers and families. The center can provide family services counselors, chaplain support and can be reached at 1-855-677-1755.
The Federal Occupations Health and Employee Assistance Program (FOHEAP) is also providing critical incident stress management and counseling services are available at 800-222-0364. -

WASHINGTON - The Navy Yard will resume normal operations beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday.
However Isaac Hull Avenue, Building 197, and areas around the building where 12 people were gunned down earlier this week remain closed. The temporary fitness center in Building 73 remains closed while it serves as an operations center. The locker rooms are open in Building 22 but the rest of the facility is closed.
Employees who left their ID cards behind Monday will need to enter through the Visitor Control Center at the O Street and 11th Street gates between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Gate Hours:- 9th Street Gate will be open for 24 hours for inbound and outbound pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- O Street Gate will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m for inbound and outbound pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- 6th Street Gate remains closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- N Street Gate will be open from 5:30 to 9 a.m.
- All Riverwalk turnstiles remain closed.
- All other gates are secured for law enforcement operations.
All Washington Navy Yard food service operations, Navy Exchange, and Navy Federal Credit Union are authorized to reopen. -
